01
Do you have different line-up options?
Yes. We primarily perform as a string duo but we also regularly perform with a pianist and as a string quartet or trio. Please let us know what ensemble you require.
02
Are there any hidden costs?
No, we are transparent with our prices and VAT is included. Unlike most other ensembles, we do not charge extra if you wish to choose one song for your ceremony that isn’t on our repertoire list. Additional songs will incur an extra fee. However we will require a minimum of 14 days notice so that we can source the music.
03
Can you play outside?
Yes we can! All we require from the venue are armless chairs, and we will also need to be positioned beneath some kind of covering to protect our expensive instruments from being damaged by sun or rain.
04
What time will you arrive?
We usually arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement of our performance.
05
How much do you charge, and how many players should I book?
Please contact us for a personalised quote. If you are on a tighter budget we recommend booking a duo, for a larger space and budget and for a more sumptuous sound we recommend booking a larger ensemble such as a string quartet or string trio. We also provide other line-up options such as piano-cello/violin, cello-cello, violin-violin for example, and we are also available to hire as soloists.
06
Can I choose specific music?
Yes of course, if you have any requests please let us know at least 14 days prior to your event. We will be able to perform one request not on our song list at no extra cost. Additional songs will incur an extra fee. Again, please give us at least 14 days notice so that we can source the music.
07
What if my timings change after I’ve booked you?
We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.
08
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
Yes, absolutely! However, we will need to have chairs provided and covering or shade if we perform outdoors. We will also need room to store our belongings, adequate lighting to read the music, and of course enough space to play.
09
Do you need a break?
We aim to play our repertoire with as little a break as possible between each selection. For bookings over an hour we will require a 10-15 minute break each hour, and for bookings over 3 hours we will need a 30 minute break.
10
What are your travel costs?
Travel outside of London will incur an extra fee which will be included in the total amount.
11
What do you wear?
We will wear elegant, formal attire, if you have a specific theme please let us know and we will endeavour to dress accordingly!
12
Do you provide amplification or backing tracks?
Yes we do! We have a set list with backing tracks for some of our most popular songs which is 2.5 hours long. We do not provide amplification for our acoustic instruments but we provide amplification for electric violin and cello duo.
13
When do you play during my wedding ceremony?
We will play during the processional, signing of the register, recessional, as well as while guests arrive and leave. We can also play during other parts of the ceremony, for example, during Communion, the Offertory and any other parts of the service that you would like. We will discuss this and the length of the ceremony with you when you request to book.
We can also play for your cocktail reception and for your formal wedding dinner!
