London Strings is available to book for all types of events both in the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy and the United Arab Emirates – weddings, corporate functions, cocktail and birthday parties, proposals, concerts and professional recordings.

Available to hire as a violin & cello duo, string trio, string quartet, an ensemble with a pianist or as solo violinist or cellist, rest assured the live music and ambience London Strings will lend to your event will be exquisite. 

A violin and cello duo is our most popular option with clients. Musically versatile, the duo can play just about anything, from Bach to Bridgerton. Compared to a quartet, the duo is more affordable but you will also not be compromising quality in any way! As a duo, we play both acoustic and modern electric instruments, and we have a set list with backing tracks for some of our most popular songs. 

For years, the string quartet has been the go-to choice for weddings and events, emulating the beautiful sound and stunning visuals of a miniature string orchestra. A quartet is perfect for large events, and your guests will love it! 

A string trio is very similar to a quartet, and is formed of two violins and a cello. You also can have the option of hiring a piano trio (violin, cello and piano). 

A solo violin or cello is a wonderful choice for an intimate event, such as a wedding proposal or intimate dinner. You can choose whether to hire the violin with or without backing tracks, and we also offer electric violin and cello.  

You can hire a solo pianist too – if you have a grand piano at your venue you may wish to make use of it with some beautiful background piano music, or our pianist can bring their portable keyboard! We also offer a piano and violin duo and a piano and cello duo.

We can perform classical, pop, folk and Bollywood songs, and you can check our repertoire list. If you have a special request that is not on our list, we are happy to accommodate this free of charge.

Our musicians have performed extensively as soloists, chamber musicians, and with orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, English National Opera, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and London Philharmonic Orchestra, and in venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Centre, Southbank Centre and Dubai Expo 2020. Internationally our musicians have performed in France, Italy, Germany, Estonia, The Netherlands, Austria, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, amongst others.

WHAT IS THE HIRING PROCESS?

Once we have had a chat and decided on the booking location, date and timings, we will invoice you with your bespoke event details and send you a contract to read through. Your booking will be confirmed once the 25% deposit has been received via bank transfer or card payment.

You will need to let us know any musical requests you have for your event or wedding ceremony around three weeks before your event, which is when the rest of the payment is due. Hiring at the last minute? No problem! Get in touch with us to see if we are available – if booking less than 3 weeks before your event the entire payment will be due. 

HOW MUCH DOEST IT COST TO HIRE LONDON STRINGS?

We offer competitive rates and because we are not an agency we do not charge commission. When you inquire we will discuss with you all the details for your event and offer you a bespoke quote. Please contact us directly for our price list.

We booked London Strings to play our wedding this summer and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. I cannot stress enough the quality of performances we got throughout the day. They are all incredibly talented professional musicians in their own right and it really shows when they come together like they did for us.
