PIANIST HIRE

London’s best pianists are available to hire here at London Strings. We have on our team some of the most highly-trained and talented pianists in London, graduates of top conservatories including the Royal College of Music and The Royal Academy of Music. They are highly experienced performers both in concert settings, wedding and corporate venues, and have performed internationally in concert halls and massive cruise liners. Our piano players can perform your favourite modern pop songs, or a selection of classical music. If you have a grand piano at your venue, why not make use of it – a pianist is elegant and classy! Perfect for during your cocktail hour, your formal dinner, or during your wedding ceremony. If you don’t have a piano, you can hire a keyboard player from London Strings – no problem! Our keyboard player (same as a pianist, just playing on an electric keyboard!) can bring their portable keyboard to your wedding or event. You really can’t go wrong when you hire a pianist – any genre is at their fingertips! Our pianists can perform a range of music and styles, from the best Classical and Romantic composers, like Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin and Debussy, to your jazz and pop favourites – Einaudi, Taylor Swift, Coldplay and more!

WEDDING PIANIST

If you’re getting married and would like to hire a pianist for your wedding, our pianist can play romantic background music before your ceremony to set the mood, as guests take their seats, and during your ceremony. We recommend you choose three songs or pieces of music – one for the bridal party entrance, one for the signing of the registry, and one for the exit of the bride and groom. For civil ceremonies, this would usually be a one-hour booking. For a church wedding, the same applies – you might also ask the pianist to play some hymns during your religious ceremony, and that’s absolutely fine! For church weddings, we would recommend a two-hour booking. You may also like to hire the pianist for a longer length of time – background piano music is beautiful during a fancy dinner or cocktail hour. Another option to consider is a piano trio. This sounds amazing in a big space, and consists of a piano (or keyboard), violin and cello. You can see a video of our piano trio performing here. You can also hire a pianist and cellist, or pianist with a violinist, both very traditional ensembles and well-suited to any style of music! WHAT IS THE HIRING PROCESS?

Let’s have a chat about the details of your bespoke event and after we have confirmed the location, date and time, we will send you an invoice and the contract. Your booking will be confirmed once the 25% deposit has been received via bank transfer or card payment.

The remainder of the payment is due 3 weeks before you event. Please let us know your music requests around that time too. If you are hiring last minute, that’s fine! Just get in touch with as soon as possible. If you are booking less than three weeks before the event, the full amount will be due to confirm your booking.

Terms & conditions

Once we have agreed on the details of your booking, we will email you a contract and invoice with your booking details. Our payment terms are a 25% non-refundable deposit to secure your booking and the remaining balance is due 21 days before the event. Payment is made via bank transfer or card payment. For clients wishing to pay via Credit or Debit card, this can be arranged securely via Pay+. A transaction fee of 4.7% applies on Pay+ bookings.
